Story: The story of the Light Warriors, the Time Loop, and the four elemental fiends is still enchanting to this very day. Like any good RPG, it makes your mind drift off to that far away land of monsters and magic. Noone could forget how they trembled at the first sight of Chaos. It may not be very long, but the Final Fantasy 1 storyline delivers. (5 points out of 5) Graphics: Before memory mappers, NES games were pretty dull. They had four screens, and not much happened on them. But SMB and Zelda changed all that and paved the way for a game like FF1. The graphics in this game, like any NES game aren't the greatest, but are better than average. The enemies looked menacing, the towns and caves were easily manuverable, and the overworld was a pleasant blend of Forests, Grasslands, Marshes, Mountains, the Sea, and the Desert. (4 points out of 5) Music: The music in Final Fantasy is some of the best Video Game music in a NES game. The Matouya's Cave theme is still heard on webpages to this very day. There was a good variety of music, therefore you didn't get bored with it. The battle music got somewhat repetitive though. (4 points out of 5) Overall: Final Fantasy set the standard for RPGs, and did a great job doing it. My favorite game for the NES or any system. The only low point is that you have to spend alot of time raising your experience. But I guess that just makes the game harder. If you haven't played this game you don't know what you're missing.
